Operating from our central logistics hub in Landover, Maryland, we combine local expertise with advanced cold-chain technology to ensure your family receives the highest quality food, delivered directly to your doorstep.
2. SHIPPING RATES & FREE DELIVERY We believe that healthy food should be accessible and affordable.
- Free Standard Shipping: We are excited to offer FREE shipping on all orders totaling $45.00 or more (before taxes and after discounts).
- Flat Rate Shipping: For orders under $45.00, a competitive flat-rate shipping fee will be applied at checkout based on your delivery zone.
3. DELIVERY ZONES & TIMEFRAMES We currently deliver to residential and business addresses within the contiguous United States.
- Local Maryland & Mid-Atlantic Delivery: Most orders within Maryland, Virginia, and D.C. qualify for Next-Day Delivery if placed by 2:00 PM EST.
- National Shipping: For customers outside the Mid-Atlantic region, standard transit times are 2–4 business days.
- P.O. Boxes: To maintain food safety and temperature control, we cannot deliver to P.O. Boxes or APO/FPO addresses.
4. THE COLD-CHAIN GUARANTEE (MEAT & PERISHABLES) Shipping fresh meat and perishable dairy requires precision. All temperature-sensitive items are packed in high-performance, eco-friendly insulated containers.
- We utilize professional-grade gel packs and dry ice to keep your meat at or below 40°F and frozen items at 0°F throughout the journey.
- Safety Note: If dry ice is present in your package, please do not handle it with bare hands. Allow it to dissipate in a well-ventilated area away from children and pets.
5. RECEIVING YOUR ORDER Since your order contains perishable food and meat, we recommend retrieving your package as soon as it arrives. While our packaging is designed to maintain temperatures for several hours after delivery, Giant Food is not responsible for spoilage or theft occurring after the carrier marks the package as delivered. Please refrigerate all perishables immediately.
