Shipping & Delivery Policy

1. BRINGING THE NEIGHBORHOOD TO YOUR DOOR Welcome to your digital neighborhood Trader Joe’s! We are thrilled to bring our curated collection of delicious, unique, and daily-essential groceries straight from our home base in Monrovia, California, right to your kitchen. We’ve designed our shipping process to be as reliable and friendly as our in-store Crew Members, ensuring your food arrives fresh and ready to enjoy.

2. DELIVERY ZONES & TIMEFRAMES We currently offer delivery services across the contiguous United States. To ensure optimal freshness, we provide the following options based on your zip code and cart contents:

• Local Same-Day & Next-Day Delivery: Available in select regions for fresh produce, dairy, bakery, and frozen items. Orders must be placed by 12:00 PM local time to qualify for same-day routing.
• Standard Ground Transit (2–4 Business Days): Available nationwide for our famous pantry staples, snacks, canned goods, and dry baby food.
• Shipping Restrictions: Because we ship perishable goods, we absolutely cannot deliver to P.O. Boxes or APO/FPO addresses. A valid residential or commercial street address is required.

3. COLD-CHAIN & PERISHABLE PACKAGING We take your family’s food safety very seriously. All refrigerated and frozen items (as well as temperature-sensitive baby foods) are packed with the utmost care in eco-friendly, insulated liners.

• We utilize a calculated mix of gel packs and dry ice to ensure your groceries remain at safe temperatures (below 40°F for chilled items, and below 0°F for frozen goods) throughout their journey.
• A note on dry ice: It is normal for dry ice to evaporate during transit. If there is any dry ice remaining in your box upon arrival, please do not handle it with bare hands. Leave it in a well-ventilated area to safely dissipate.

4. RECEIVING YOUR GROCERIES We highly recommend that someone is home to receive perishable deliveries. If you are not available, our courier partners will leave the insulated box at your doorstep. Please retrieve and refrigerate or freeze your items immediately upon arrival. Trader Joe’s is not liable for spoilage, theft, or weather-related damage that occurs after the carrier has marked the package as delivered.

5. ORDER MODIFICATIONS Because our fulfillment teams work quickly to pack fresh food, we are generally unable to modify, add to, or cancel grocery orders once they have been submitted and processing has begun.
