Instructions:

  1. Take the Ribeye out of the fridge 30 minutes before cooking. Pat it completely dry with a paper towel and season generously with coarse salt and black pepper.
  2. Heat a cast-iron skillet until it’s smoking hot. Sear the steak for 3–4 minutes per side to develop a deeply caramelized, savory crust.
  3. Reduce the heat to medium. Toss in a large piece of butter, crushed Garlic cloves, and sprigs of Fresh Herbs.
  4. As the butter melts and foams, tilt the pan and continuously spoon the aromatic butter over the steak for about 1 minute. Let the meat rest for 5-10 minutes before slicing.
