Returns & Exchanges Policy

1. OUR "TRY IT, YOU'LL LIKE IT" PHILOSOPHY At Trader Joe's, we want you to love everything you buy. If a product doesn't meet your expectations, we want to make it right. However, because we are dealing with consumable goods, our return process online works a little differently than it does in our physical stores to comply with strict public health standards.

2. STRICT FOOD SAFETY RESTRICTIONS To ensure the safety of all our customers and comply with FDA food safety guidelines, we do not accept physical returns of any food items, perishable goods, or baby formulas. Once a food product leaves our Monrovia distribution center, it cannot be safely restocked or resold. Please do not mail food back to us.

3. REFUNDS AND REPLACEMENTS While we cannot take the physical item back, we stand entirely behind our quality. You are fully eligible for a refund or a replacement shipment if you experience any of the following issues:

  • Transit Damage: Jars that broke in transit, crushed boxes, or compromised packaging.
  • Spoilage/Temperature Issues: Perishable items that arrive warm or thawed due to carrier delays.
  • Incorrect Items: Receiving a product you did not order (keep it as a gift on us, and we will refund or replace the missing item!).
  • Quality Concerns: If a product simply didn't taste right or meet the Trader Joe's standard you expect.

4. BABY FOOD & FORMULA POLICY Infant nutrition is heavily regulated. If you receive baby formula or baby food with a broken safety seal, a dented can, or an expired date, do not use it. Please dispose of the product immediately and contact us for an unconditional full refund.

5. HOW TO REQUEST A RESOLUTION If you need assistance with a recent order, please contact our Crew:

  2. Reach out within 24 hours of delivery for fresh/perishable items, and within 7 days for pantry items.
  3. Please provide your Order Number and a clear photograph of the item and its packaging (including the lot code/expiration date).
  4. We will promptly issue a credit to your original payment method.
