Secure Payments Policy
1. SAFE AND ENCRYPTED CHECKOUT At Walmart Corporation, we understand that ordering groceries online requires trust. Our entire platform is secured using 256-bit Secure Socket Layer (SSL) encryption. We are fully PCI-DSS compliant, meaning your payment data is tokenized and never stored directly on our servers.
2. ACCEPTED PAYMENT METHODS To make feeding your family as convenient as possible, we accept a wide variety of domestic payment methods:
- Credit & Debit Cards: Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover.
- Digital Wallets: Apple Pay, Google Pay, and PayPal.
- SNAP EBT (Electronic Benefit Transfer): We are proud to participate in the USDA’s SNAP Online Purchasing Pilot. You can use your valid EBT card to purchase eligible grocery items and baby food. Please note: EBT funds cannot be used to cover delivery fees or non-food items.
3. AUTHORIZATION HOLDS & WEIGHT-BASED PRICING For fresh produce and meats sold by the pound, the exact weight of your item may vary slightly from the estimated weight in your cart.
- When you place your order, we place a temporary authorization hold on your card for 110% of your estimated total.
- Once your items are picked and weighed, your card will only be charged for the exact weight of the food you receive.
- The remaining authorized funds are immediately released back to your account (this may take 1–3 business days depending on your bank).
4. FRAUD PREVENTION & VERIFICATION To protect our customers from unauthorized charges:
- The billing address you enter at checkout must exactly match the address associated with your credit card or EBT account.
- If our automated system flags a transaction as suspicious (e.g., an unusually large order of baby formula shipping to an address different from the billing address), the order will be temporarily placed on hold. A member of our team will contact you from +1 (555) 555-5555 to verify the purchase.
